About Us

The Culture and Leisure Administration is responsible for operations in the areas of libraries, leisure, sports, and culture, employing approximately 350 staff.

A strong culture and leisure operation contributes to a good quality of life and is important for the development of stimulating living environments in the municipality and region. The swimming unit within the Culture and Leisure Administration includes Högevall, a unique facility featuring an adventure pool, competition pool with a 10-meter diving tower, a 50-meter training pool, and 2 teaching pools. We receive approximately 9,000 visitors per week, host around 15 associations, serve about 20 schools for swimming lessons, and have around 30 staff members. The unit also includes all outdoor swimming pools and Källby Camping. Högevall is an HBTQI-certified workplace.

Job Responsibilities

Together with your colleagues, you ensure that our visitors feel welcome and have a safe stay at Högevall. The safety of our visitors in the water and at the facility is our top priority, but to thrive at Högevall, you also need to maintain a high level of service and be passionate about providing a good experience. Cleaning is part of the job, and we believe you will feel just as excited about a well-maintained facility as you do about a ride down one of our slides. The work is varied, and during a day on the job, you will do several or all of the following:

monitor pools
welcome and assist visitors
maintain facilities
manage the swimming facility

Additionally, you will participate in staff meetings and have ample opportunity to engage in various workgroups based on your own interests. Your work at Högevall is important, sometimes demanding, and always developmental.

We are looking for someone who

... enjoys working with people and gets a kick out of providing excellent service. The ability to speak good Swedish and English is a requirement. You are service-oriented and have good initiative. It is also important that you enjoy varied tasks and can quickly see what needs to be done. Flexibility is one of our guiding principles. You have:

a high school diploma
experience in a service role
a positive attitude
good teamwork skills

A crucial aspect of the employment is to complete an employer-approved swimming test, which includes lifesaving at a depth of 5 meters. We will call for this swimming test after the application period has ended.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Please submit your application directly. Ongoing selection will be applied, and interviews may take place during the application period.

The person offered the position will need to present a valid extract from the criminal record.

The position is permanent and may begin with a 6-month probationary period.
